surreal customs review.

Dart Vaughan is known for one thing.. Probably others but I don't know him that well to make fun of him on my blog. But he is known for making awesome machines.. lets take a look at his work so far..

I picked up a few if his model fangs and just resent got this... Have no clue what it is but its like 4-5 oz of light weight.



Anyhow all his frame are real solid and level. I don't mind them at all. One of his machine is a main grey shading. And I really like the liner thats photoed in the write up. The parts are quality but I do find my self changing a few things to my feeling. But over all I like his work and have been a return customer. And thats not a bad comment coming from some one who is strictly a fan of work horse and Big names that cost far to much..

So I give his machines 4 out of 5 stars.

After a year of use. I find these machines pretty and well designed frames.  How ever over time I find my self picking back up my workhorse irons products.  I still enjoy these machines and are a must add for any collector.   After a year of use I rate these products at 3.5/4 out of 5...

Another machine build up..

I worked with Woody to build this liner from a shitty frame ... Once again asked our Union Trades to machine the POS frame and Machine that was set in my lap. I would have to put more of the work on my teacher as once again I did most the basic crap. But any how what looked like a kingpin reject is now this: Liner with a punch...

The J machine...(its not a J frame)

I was going threw some junk around the house and I found a old Ekion Green machine. I thought I had lost it but it was beat up from being tossed around but the frame seemed to be some what intact. Anyhow i ended up taken then phile to my work and talked the trade guys into gutting it with holes and shaving a few things down. This gave it a better feel. Then I harassed Woody at Custom ink to help me rebuild it. Since I pretty much was in the dark on how this would go about. I learned a lot from the day of working with woody to make this machine run. And run it does clean all the way threw the power band. Good machine for new school color blends was born. I give him most the cred but will call it the "J machine". My custom built toy for work.. and here is the final shot.

I was strapped for supplies so I called up Maria and Arron. Owners of Ink Snobs. Its a Supply store that isn't running a store front yet. But how ever if you work at a tattoo shop and are in need of supplies fast.. They have a mobile store... I filled up on every thing I needed. From tubes, needles, to inks. If your in the Flint area or even waterford or north These guys deliver.

My first Portait

Well here is the start of my first one. I had to stop for the night 4 hours was more then enough for me. I still have a ton learn. Thx Woody & Justin for helping me out. More soon and improvements on the next session.
